Overview
The Clinical Microbiology Laboratory of the Department of Microbiology, at Takshashila University is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It has several advanced facilities for bacterial, and mycobacterial culture and a range of serology/immunology tests, including IFA and blot assay for ANA, Hepatitis B markers, and serum IgE, in addition to serology for common infectious diseases. Furthermore, the department has a well-maintained museum.
Takshashila University was established to enable individuals to gain an in–depth knowledge of the cause and spread of infectious diseases. Through its courses, students can explore the etiology, pathogenesis, laboratory diagnosis, treatment, and control of infections in the community. The university strives to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle infectious diseases and prevent their spread. It also provides students with the most up–to–date information regarding the natural history of these infections. By furthering an understanding of these diseases, Takshashila University helps to protect the community from their devastating effects.
